Does it work to play hard to get?

There is this guy, I ran into him a few times. He finally asked me for my phone number. He had the guts to come up and talk to me at a club. We where going to meet up one night and it never happened, there was a miscommunication in between messages, he messaged me and I wasn鈥檛 sure whether I was meant to call back, thought that men are meant to do all the calling. I really like him; I鈥檓 just confused with this hard to get business. Does it really work? How do I play hard to get? How do I let him know that I鈥檓 interested? How do I get him to ask me out on a date again? I know that he was interested in me.Does it work to play hard to get?
Forget about him hon, men arent afraid to even stalk a girl till she accepts to go out with him. Men are pretty straightforward, if he wants you he will call you.Does it work to play hard to get?
The guy turned out to be a player. Didnt end up going on a date with him, but found out he went on a date with another girl.

yea you should play hard to get. its part of the seduction hun. play it cool although you really want to see him mostly, but you should learn how to control that urge. your absence will leave him thinking about you. then when you see each other again give him reassuring signals that you want him. but sometimes be a little bit mysterious and sort of confuse him lol.... and bring out your inner sexiness. :p guys chase after what's unobtainable to somehow give that impression to him.

be a tease.
Well you could call him for a change. Stop the texting. Just talk on the phone with him and ask him if hed be interested in trying to go on a date again. It is likely when he tried the first time he figured you flaked on him and therefore were only wasting his time. Call him, if you ask him out and he says yes, bot hmake clear time commitments and see what happens. Good luck.
Hard to get is a game, and games are played in school, if you are out of school and old enough to go to the clubs, then no its not hard to get -- its so immature to play games
Some times playing hard to get can loose you a good man. Try talking to him the next time you see him. Keep it general, talk about simple things such as your intrests, the music in the room, if he's intrested he'll keep talking. If he doesn't ask you out ask him out to cofee, make it non threating if it doesn't feel like a come on he may take the lead after the coffee if he doesn't he's not intrested. If it works always keep a conversation because without one your relation wont last after the magic of the first part of dating begins. Look for compatibility, that lasts forever then look for the sexual attraction
if he respected you he would be calling u at a decent hour i feel u being put on stand by when he drinking when he cant get anything better sorry! loose him and find someone decent
I don't feel he is worth your time, if you are unsure then 99% of the time you will be right. ^-^
HONEY, YOU DO NOT NEED TO PLAY HARD TO GET FOR ANYONE. JUST BE YOURSELF. YOU CAN CALL HIM, AND ASK HIM IF HE WOULD LIKE TO JOIN YOU FOR LUCH OR A DRINK. THAT TO ME IS THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOURSELF. I AM 65YEARS OLD, A FEMALE. ITS TRUE IN MY TIME WE NEVER CALLED ON A GUY, TODAY ITS DIFFERENT. PEOPLE DO NOT NEED TO PLAY HARD TO GET, ITS CHILDISH, AND NOT SINCERE. SO CALL THIS GUY CHAT FIRST, THEN ASK. GOOD LUCK DEAR
';Playin' hard to get'; is not a mind game. Your face should always light up when you make eye contact with him upon first meeting. Greet him warmly. Let him know that you are happy to see him. Talk with him for about 10 minutes whether in person or by phone, then excuse yourself and hang up, or move on [when at a social function ]. It's okay to talk with him again, but again limit it to no more than 10 - 12 minutes. Then move on. Keep yourself occupied, you'll come across as slightly mysterious. It's up to him to arrange for a date. Regardless of whether there has been some miscommunication between messages, if he wants to contact you, let him be the one to initiate it. Don't call him. A confident woman always knows how a man feels about her because he will do whatever he has to do to get the point across to her, that he finds her to be appealing. If you phone him, you'll be putting him on the spot and give the impression that you are insecure. I would never date a man who ignored me, or didn't take the time to pursue me passionately as tho I were Marilyn Monroe, reincarinated.
You aren't a natural games-player and you know it.

If you like the man ring him and invite him for a sunday walk.
You know that you are playing hard to get and would like to be pursued but he probably thinks your just not interested or lost whatever interest you had in him...Confident guys move on to another girl that doesen't play mind games...
It depends on the guy. Most men enjoy the chase. You can play hard to get. Call him, tell him you will call him again at a certain time. But don't call. He'll be wondering and waiting for you call.Heeheehee...Just make sure that the conversation you have with him is one that will get a reaction from him.(it could even be a voice mail) The book the Art of Seduction is great! Get it if you can. Playing hard to get can work. Just remember you plan is ';to get'; not make him run away.
He would call you at a decent hour if he was interested.move on.
no dont play hard to get, some guys just aren't up for it or they just don't know that your playing hard to get at all, he may just think you dont like him. if you really like this guy, then don't play a stupid game or else you might never get a chance to be with him.
playing hard to get is about not giving in to o fast or otherwise someone might think you are loose. It does work at times but at other times it might put someone off. On your situation it is probably better to do so for if a guy is reaally interested in you he will call you or text you, It also deopends on how you met and ypou guys met at a club so its much better to do so while you learn what kind of guy he is. Good luck.
