Man troubles and mixed messages - help!!! very long story!?

I met this guy a few weeks back that i really like, i decided, in an attempt to get more respect from men, that id play it cool. This meant that he would always be the first one to initiate texting each other. As well, up until last saturday he was forever asking me to come out and just do somthing simple with him, like go for a drive but in my efforts to play hard to get i always said no. After a few weeks of texting i decided i had let him stew long enough and agreed to meet up the saturday before last. we went to a few bars, had a good time, got on really well and he ended up spending the night at mine. while we were out he actually said 'oh next time we'll do.....'. Anyhoo, to cut a long story short as i was seeing him off the next morning he goes 'ill text you later'. unfortunately, later that day my phone conked out and i wasnt able to get it working until the early hours of monday morning. when i finally did get it to work there was no text from him for all of monday until, i finally got a text message off him on monday evening that said he missed me etc etc and that he was thinking of coming round to see me that night. i texted him back asking what time he was thinking of coming round but unfortunately got no response. this was the last i heard of him, so i took it that he was no longer interested until yesterday, wen i was staying with my friend in a town two hours from where me and this man live. the text was enquiring what i was doing that night (last night/saturday night) and i told him that i was going out with my friend where she lives. he then texted me saying to let him know when i was back. i replied saying i would be returnin home this afternoon. I have been back in town since 5 this afternoon and have not heard a word from him. i would just like to know if people think that this man is just messing me around and should i give up and just not text him? or, seeing as how he was so eager in the begginning should i just take it that he's 'busy with work' and keep at it?? i realli would appreciate some advice. as wen i take it that hes met someone else and isnt gonna text me he starts sending me sweet little messages saying he misses me and stuff. i have no clue where i stand. thanks in advance! He sounds like he is eager but probably just got caught up in something which means he cant text you .. just hang in there, no reply within 2-6 days he probs aint interested anymore.

He's probably got too many girls on the go and he's busy deciding which one to go out with. Now if your at a loose end i could take you out for coffee. Text me and we can arrange something.
well i would honestly guess that he is just playing hard to get with you now. he wants you to chase him. so go for it, txt him first for a few days, and then like take it a step further and call him.





so chase him for a little bit, but make it completely obvious that you're chasing him. and then stop chasing, and he will come back chasing you.





and also you should try to get to where its a mutual thing. where you are chasing each other. cuz after awhile of him chasing you and you playing hard to get, he will give up.
